Last Updated: April 2025.<\/small><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vsep1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>1 May 2025 \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/greoux.re\">Gr\u00e9oux Research<\/a> took part in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ccca.ac.at\/dialogformate\/oesterreichischer-klimatag\/klimatag-2025\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">25. \u00d6sterreichische Klimatag<\/a>, held from 23\u201325 April 2025 in Innsbruck and organised by the University of Innsbruck and the Climate Change Centre Austria (CCCA). The event provided an excellent opportunity for us to present our <a href=\"https:\/\/interactive.li\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Interactive.li platform<\/a> and demonstrate how AI, simulations, and gamification can strengthen stakeholder engagement in the energy transition.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>This blog post lists the references and notes cited in <a href=\"https:\/\/greoux.re\/explore\/wp-content\/media\/doc\/ai-simulation-gamification-stakeholder-engagement-energy-transition.pdf\">our poster on Interactive.li<\/a> and provides credits for the visual materials used.<\/p>\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notes &amp; References<\/h4>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Complexity.<br\/><em>The paper reviews the growing role of AI in education, including the use of advanced models such as GPT to assess learner understanding and provide adaptive feedback.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n<li><em>Phasing out coal is challenging for several reasons. While it has long been a source of affordable energy, it also comes with heavy\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucsusa.org\/resources\/coal-power-impacts\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">environmental repercussions<\/a>. Socially and culturally, coal mining is deeply embedded in certain communities,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iiasa.ac.at\/projects\/justcoal\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">making the transition disruptive<\/a>. Moreover, coal provides dispatchable, 24\/7 electricity and district heating, and a variety of grid services.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/12\/06\/climate\/iea-renewable-energy-coal.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Replacing it with intermittent renewables<\/a>\u00a0can potentially affect the entire energy system.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n<li><em>Survey results from the workshops held to date demonstrate the added value of Interactive.li compared to traditional lecture formats.
